Divina's Workshop

Cynthia Hernandez aka Divina is a first generation Mexican-American born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. Growing up in a Latinx household she was exposed to many different genres of Latinx music and dances such as Cumbia, Salsa and Merengue. Having a strong connection to her heritage and roots, she found love for Hip Hop dance and culture almost instantly. She met Jackie Lopez and Leigh Foaad in 2006, where she first learned the history and knowledge of Hip Hop and began to train in various street dance styles. Cynthia was a founding member of Versa-Style Next Generation in 2009. In 2014, she joined Versa-Style Dance Company as a movement artist. Cynthia has had the opportunity to travel and perform all over the country, visiting places such as Alaska where she did a 3-week, 5-city tour with Versa-Style and other places like El Salvador and Amsterdam where she performed…
